Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has re-awarded contracts for key road projects, including the Ilara-Ilishan road in Remo North and Awolowo Road in Ikenne Local Government Area, as part of ongoing infrastructure development in the state.

Speaking at the Afotamodi Day Grand Finale in Isara-Remo on Saturday, Abiodun explained that the initial contractor for Awolowo Road had to withdraw due to health reasons.

The project has now been reassigned to ensure its completion.

The governor also announced additional contracts, such as Phase 3 of the Sagamu-Iperu-Ode-Saapade Road, aimed at boosting regional connectivity. He confirmed that work on the Ilara-Ilishan road has commenced.

Abiodun pledged N20 million towards development projects in Isara-Remo and thanked the community for its support, promising continued partnership.

Oba Adebose Mayungbe, the Odemo of Isara-Remo, praised both the governor and the town’s indigenes for their dedication to local growth.
