Gunmen terrorising Nigeria’s oil-rich Niger Delta region have abducted officers of the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in Delta State.

The officers were said to have been abducted close to the agency’s head office around 8:00 pm on Saturday as the officers were heading home after work.

The officer and his orderly were reportedly ambushed and kidnapped by the the heavily armed abductors along the Isah-Ogwashi-Uku road in the Aniocha South local government area of the state.

Sources privy to the abduction hinted that the perpetrators might have an insider providing them with information.
