NYSC: Serving corps member slumps, dies in Kebbi

  • After she collapsed, she was reportedly rushed to the camp clinic at Dakingari and later moved to FMC Birnin-Kebbi.

A national youth service corps (NYSC) member, Tayachibiyacha Ebal, has slumped and died in Kebbi State, officials have said.

The deceased, a Female, with code KB/24C/918 was serving at Dakingari prior to her demise.

After she collapsed, she was reportedly rushed to the camp clinic at Dakingari and later moved to FMC Birnin-Kebbi.

She eventually drew her last breath at the FMC after all necessary medical attention was given to her.

The Kebbi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement issued by the spokesperson of the ministry, Comrade Nurudeen Bala Fingiller, her remains had already been taken to her family in Adamawa State.

“Consequently, I want to use this medium to pay a condolence message to His Excellency and all our teeming youths, on behalf of NYSC and the Kebbi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, on this irreparable loss,” he added.

“I further appreciate the effort and financial support by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, which helped in facilitating the burial arrangement by both the ministry and the family of the deceased.”
