  • Attempts to reach Morka for clarification were unsuccessful, as calls and messages went unanswered

Nearly two weeks after alleging 200 death threats from supporters of Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has yet to formally petition the police as promised.

Morka had claimed on January 8 during an Arise TV interview that he had received 400 threats, including explicit death threats, following a media exchange with Obi. He vowed to submit evidence to law enforcement.

However, Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi told reporters that no petition had been filed. Attempts to reach Morka for clarification were unsuccessful, as calls and messages went unanswered.

Meanwhile, Dr Yunusa Tanko, Director General of the Obidient Movement, dismissed Morka’s allegations, stating Obi’s supporters stand firmly with their leader in his quest for a better Nigeria. Tanko added, “Let Morka provide evidence if he has any. We are not concerned with his unfounded claims.”
