Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) troops have taken into custody a suspected gunrunner and confiscated arms and ammunition in Plateau’s Barkin Ladi LGA.

According to Zagazola Makama, a publication focused on counter-insurgency in the Lake Chad region, troops stopped a suspicious ash-coloured Peugeot vehicle.

The publication cited intelligence sources, stating that troops under Operation Golden Peace set up a checkpoint at Kassa community along the Jos-Barkin Ladi highway on February 3.

“The troops intercepted an ash-coloured Peugeot 206 vehicle with Plateau State registration number BLD 322 ST,” the publication said.
