Police in Ogun State are searching for a truck driver who fled after killing three automobile technicians in an accident in the Kemta area of Abeokuta on Wednesday.

State police spokesperson Omolola Odutola confirmed the development on Friday, stating that the driver remains at large while the truck has been impounded.

Following the incident, angry technicians from the Ajebo Mechanic Village staged a protest on Thursday, blocking the Ajebo/OGTV road and demanding action against reckless truck drivers.

“The technicians are aware that the driver has not been arrested, but police efforts to track him down are ongoing,” Odutola said.
