- Three of the suspects succumbed to bullet wounds at Kubwa General Hospital
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed that three notorious armed robbers were neutralised during a midnight operation in Filin-Dabo village, Abuja.
According to FCT Police spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, the operation—conducted by the police, military personnel, and local vigilantes—was launched following a distress call at 11:50 p.m. on February 12, 2025.
Upon arrival, security operatives engaged the six-member gang in a gun battle as the criminals attempted to flee into nearby bushes. Three of the suspects succumbed to bullet wounds at Kubwa General Hospital, while the remaining three are receiving medical treatment.
Recovered items included an AK-47 rifle, locally made pistols, live ammunition, knives, charms, and suspected Indian hemp.
