Two killed in fresh bandits’ attack on Katsina community

  • The attack is coming just few days after one Lawan Ado, a medical doctor, was apprehended by security operatives for allegedly treating notorious bandits

At least two people were killed when bandits attacked a community in Katsina State.

The attack happened in Walawa community on Wednesday night.

According to security analyst, Bakatsine, who reported the incident on X (formerly Twitter), the attack occurred late in the night.

“Bandits attacked Walawa community and gruesomely killed two people in the community,” he posted.

Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the incident

The attack is coming just few days after one Lawan Ado, a medical doctor, was apprehended by security operatives for allegedly treating notorious bandits.

Ado, who hailed from Safana Local Government Area of the state, also gave medical attention to a wanted bandit kingpin, Usman Modi Modi.

He was reportedly arrested following intelligence reports linking him to the medical care for wounded bandits.

Ado was said to have confessed to treating several injured criminals at their hideouts in different parts of the state.
