Apple expands iPhone 16 series with affordable iPhone 16e

Popular American multinational technology company, Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 16e, a new addition to its iPhone 16 series.

According to a statement published on Apple’s news website on Wednesday, the latest model offers a balance of performance, design, and affordability.

Pre-orders for the device are set to begin on February 21, 2025, with the official release scheduled for February 28.

Bloomberg reports that this move is part of Apple’s strategy to boost sales following a slow holiday season.

Apple has confirmed that the new smartphone will be available in 59 countries, including the United States, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, and the United Kingdom.

The introduction of the iPhone 16e follows the launch of the standard iPhone 16 on September 9, 2024, at Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.

In other news, Apple, a multinational technology giant located in the United States, concluded trading on Friday with a market value of $3 trillion.

According to CBS, Apple is the first company in modern history to accomplish this achievement.

The shares of the 47-year-old technology company closed up 2.3 percent at $193.97, bringing its entire market worth to $3.04 trillion.

In 2022, Apple accomplished a similar accomplishment but was unable to maintain it at the market’s end.

The boom follows the release of Vision Pro, which immerses users in simulated environments known as virtual reality.

With the development, Apple, with other tech companies including Microsoft, and Chipmaker Nvidia, helped drive the S&P 500 to achieve a nearly 16 per cent gain in the first quarter of 2023…
