The gunmen from Owerri who planned an attack at a bank and an eatery in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, were arrested this morning. Double barrel guns and pump action were recovered from the suspects who will be charged to court, as soon as investigation is concluded.

Few months ago, the Akwa Ibom State Police Command arrested four suspected bank robbers in the state. The suspects, identified as Benjamin Emeka, 28; Obe Awa, 29; Remembrance Obikwe, 35; and Aniefiok Sunday, 29, were said to have robbed a bank customer of N3.2m.
