Fela Durotoye, the presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), has come under severe criticisms.

Social media users have taken to social media to condemn a remark he made about his running mate for the 2019 presidential election, Khadijah Iyah Abdullahi.

Durotoye, a renowned motivational speaker, featured in the televised debate held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, on Saturday.

While President Muhammadu Buhari (All Progressives Congress) and Atiku Abubakar (Peoples Democratic Party) stayed away, Oby Ezekwesili (Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), and Kingsley Moghalu of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) attended.

During the programme, Durotoye said he was running for office with “a beautiful and delectable lady” while responding to a question on gender inclusivity.

The choice of words has landed him in trouble as some Nigerians are saying the description was inappropriate.
