Despite taking a break from social media, fans of celebrated Nigerian singer, Wizkid, have not failed to keep singing praises about all that he has accomplished.
Withinnigeria had previously reported that a fan of the singer had taken to social media in adoration of how the celebrity superstar had managed to stay relevant despite keeping a low profile.
The fan had prayed Wizkid to teach him how to mind his business and still be talked about. In a new development, his fans have now taken to the Twitter platform to celebrate the wins and accomplishments of their favorite singer as they felicitated with him on the occasion of the World Wizkid Day, a special time of the year set aside in celebration of the singer by the state of Minnesota.
The Fever crooner appeared among the trending topics in Nigeria Twitter with thousands of users on the platform sharing his photos and videos. He tried to downplay his influential status as a musical giant in Africa, in a bid to stay humble. Another video clip showed international singer Chris Martin of Coldplay revealing how much of a pleasure it was to witness a performance by Nigeria’s Wizkid. He disclosed that it was a dream come true for him. Wizkid who had announced his break from social media was, however, spotted striking a pose with Nigerian business man, Tony Elumelu, in a new Instagram post by his official fan page.
This could mean that the singer is planning some major moves upon his return in March. Meanwhile, it had been previously gathered the report of the supremacy battle that had ensued between fans of celebrity stars, Davido and Wizkid. Each fan base had taken to social media with the declaration of their favorite act as the boss.
