The report of a gorilla carting away and eating about 6.8 millions of naira came to Nigerians as a Shock. The Kano Zoo Authority claimed the gorilla Sneaked into the office and took the money away before swallowing it.

Subsequently, the report has continously generated intense debate among Nigerians on Social media and the Zoo Authority being condemned over the alleged Rapacious act. While Some Nigerians who reacted to the story urged the Anti-graft Agency not to be political in its investigation of the matter.

Incredibly, how can this be Pull through? Apparently, the ease and seeming innocence with which the report came to Nigerians and which the Zoo Authority crafted the story should ordinarily have qualified the Government Parastatal for psychiatric attention instead Cooked tales now seems to be making interesting headlines.

Recall that recently there was a bizarre report of a snake swallowing N36 million in the vault of the Benue State office of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) too.

Where the JAMB Registrar, Oloyede decried Nigerians for making jokes out of the missing N36 million, said “Nigerians turned serious issue into a national or an international joke” Imagine Nigeria!!! a nation where corruption is being celebrated, we celebrate mediocrity and embrace Corruption.

Upon the Saga he Strengthened that such events also happen in other government establishments but are not known to the public because the heads of such establishments “are also snake”.

The conundrum then is who are the Snakes and who are the Gorrillas? Human?

The claim of Gorilla sneaking into the office, carting away and eating about 6.8 million like a banana is Suspicious as the managing director of the Zoo,Umar Kobo also confirming the Shocking story that the money is missing with no veil.

At first,Many will interrogatorily ask, what a huge amount of money like that is doing at the Zoo office which is not safe and not been deposited in a bank for Security reasons.

A Check reveals that such tales should not in any sense make Nigerians be gullible as they are invented by the unscrupulous and deceitful to achieve ends of mischievous and pecuniary nature. As much this fictitious Story is a product of stupidity, it is equally an indictment on the very system that cultivated it as Government agencies and parastatals now cash on animals to steal public fund.

It is worthy to note, that the Zoo’s narrative, as puerile and incredible as it would seem, fits into an uncanny metaphor to illustrate the pervasiveness of corruption and What is important is that Federal and State Government Establishments have to be cautious and transparent in utilising public fund, hence a Critical investigation should be conducted to know the root of the Financial mess.
