Seun Kuti Remembers Late Father, Shares Touching Tribute (Video)

Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, son of the late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has shared a video of his father as he remembers him on the 22nd anniversary of his death.

The iconic figure, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, who was a multi-instrumentalist, musician, pioneer of the Afrobeat music genre, human rights activist and political maverick died at the age of 58 from complications related to AIDS.

Seun took to Instagram earlier today being Friday, 2nd August to reminisce about his father. He wrote;

Oluseun Anikulapo Kuti popularly known as Seun Kuti, is a Nigerian musician and the youngest son of famous afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti. Seun leads his father’s former band Egypt 80.

Seun and his elder brother Femi are the two commercially successful musical offspring of the late Nigerian Afrobeat innovator Fela Kuti. Seun also has one younger sister who used to sing in his band.

The legend Fela sure made an impact in the nation and in the hearts of many before his demise.
