Nigerian singer Dencia has accused Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy of objectifying Mercy with his comments about her body during the BBNaija finale.
Don Jazzy before the show tweeted that even though Mercy had a great personality, he is convinced that her body is a contributing factor to her success.
He said:
“I know that Mercy has a dope personality. But if she wins nobody should tell me that yansh does not perform wonders. #bbnaija”
Dencia, clearly unimpressed with Don Jazzy’s comment responded to his tweet and said that women should be seen as more than just their body parts and that if a male housemate wins, people would not say it was because of his body parts.
“We are objectifying women in 2019? If the guy won, will they say it’s his dick that made him win? Women are more than their body parts” she said.

The Mavin Records boss then cleared the air by stating that during his time in the house, Mercy herself told him that her body was one of her biggest selling points.
He added that he meant no malice and is genuinely happy for Mercy Lamboo.
He said:
“If Jackie won I won’t say what I said. I asked mercy myself in the house and she said her ass is her selling point.
“My tweet also said she has a dope personality too. She sha won and we are happy for her.”
