Unknown armed men kill journalist in Adamawa
Tragedy as body of a staff of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) identified as Maxwell Nashan was found hacked by unknown armed men in a bush.
Maxwell was found in the bush by female farmers on the outskirts of Vunokilan, Girei Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The FRCN staff was tied up and several cuts were seen on his body while his mouth was also sealed by his abductors.
According to reports, Nashan lost his life on his way to the hospital. Officials of civil defence who were notified of the sad incident rushed him to the hospital.
A colleague of the deceased identified as Fidelis Jocktan told newsmen that he was preparing for his wedding when he was abducted by his assailants at his residence in Bachure area.
He further revealed that “they did not take anything from his house, they took him away and dropped him near the station tied up and unconscious.
“There are signs of beatings and cuts on his body. Some women going to the farm saw him and reported to civil defence operatives at the station who rushed him to hospital.”, he said.
