The Kaduna State government has discharged three COVID-19 patients.

The State Commissioner of Health, Dr Amina Mohammed Baloni, who made the confirmation on Sunday, said the “three patients are among the six persons that tested positive for COVID-19 in the state.’’

She noted that the development brings to four, the number of persons in Kaduna State that recovered from COVID-19 last week.

‘’There are now only two cases of COVID-19 that are yet to be discharged and we look forward to being able to do that soon,’’ she added.

She also commended the sterling efforts of the medical team, surveillance teams, members of the Emergency Operations Committee and other stakeholders involved in the efforts of the Ministry of Health to manage and contain COVID-19.

Baloni advised residents of the State to wash their hands regularly with soap and water and scrupulously observe social distancing.

Meanwhile, Nigeria on Sunday recorded 86 confirmed cases in the country.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 627.
