Lagos lead as Nigeria records 603 new cases of Coronavirus, total hits 28167

603 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Nigeria as the country’s total infections of the deadly virus rise to 28,167.

The new positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in a tweet on Saturday night by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

According to statistics from the NCDC, agency responsible for the testing and fight against COVID-19, Lagos recorded 135 cases.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State says the state is recording successes in the COVID-19 response aimed at stemming further spread of the pandemic.

Mr Abba Anwar, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, quoted Ganduje as saying this in a statement on Saturday in Kano.
