Tension in Osun community as hoodlums reportedly kill two people

Residents of Osun community are currently living in fears as hoodlums reportedly stormed Ejigbo and killed two people.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that hoodlums stormed the town and killed two persons within the short period of five days.

It was also learnt that one of the deceased identified as Musibau Muraina, 50-year-old was reportedly dumped after his abdomen had been cut off.

According to report, Muraina was found dead around 6:45 pm in his compound, Oya’s compound, Ejigbo on July 5.

The deceased’s brother identified as Ayankale Ayaniran of Oya’s compound lodged the complains and reported the matter to the police station in the area.

Likewise, the remains of Misratu Azeez was found at Olori’s compound, Ejigbo around 10:30am on July 8, 2020.

The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo local government, Hon Teslim Ogunmola reportedly informed the police that the corpse of Misratu of Moye’s compound, Ejigbo, suspected to have been murdered, was found at Olori’s compound.

It was learnt that the remains of Mistura was reported to have been deposited to Adeeyo mortuary for autopsy.

Reacting to the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in Osun state, Mrs Yemisi Opalola confirmed the incidence to our correspondent on Thursday.

The police also hinted that one person has been arrested in connection with the death of Misratu.

She said investigations are ongoing to apprehend other suspects as the state Criminal Investigation Department will soon have the case file.
