A Magistrate Court in Yaba, Lagos on Tuesday granted N1 million bail to #EndSARS campaigner Eromosele Adene.

The court granted the bail after rejecting a request by the police for an order to detain him for 30 days to enable them conclude investigations into the allegations against Mr Adene.

He was arrested on November 7 by the police, for his involvement in the #EndSARS protest and also on allegations of providing financial support to the movement.

He was subsequently whisked to Abuja, the nation’s capital, days later, quickly sparking the trend, #FreeEromz.

Before his arraignment began, there were heavy Police presence in and outside the Court, barring journalists, lawyers and family members from entry, sparking a commotion.
