Comic Actor, Mr Ibu Receives Award As The Best Comedian In Nollywood

Popular comic relief actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr. Ibu has been awarded the best African comedian in the Nollywood industry.

The organizers of the Superior Radio and Television Awards, SRTV Awards, described Mr. Ibu as the ‘Best Comedian in Nollywood.’

The award tagged as Honorary Award – African Star is to acknowledge the 59 years old actor for his immense contribution to the entertainment and media industries in Africa.

Announcing Mr. Ibu’s achievement to the world, the organizers wrote, ”He is John Okafor. He is the best African comedian and He is one of our winners.”

Ibu has acted in more than 200 movies including Mr.Ibu (2004), Mr. Ibu in London (2004), Police Recruit (2003), 9 Wives (2005), Ibu in Prison (2006), and Keziah (2007).
