President Muhammadu Buhari Yemi reportedly met with governors at the presidential villa in Abuja.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the meeting is said to be connected with the widespread insecurity in the country.

Recall that governor of Borno state, Babagana Zulum had earlier stated his counterparts had resolved to meet with Buhari over the security challenge after the killing of rice farmers in Borno.

The governor of Ekiti state and chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Kayode Fayemi had also spoken on the plan to meet with Buhari.

The president will address a join session of the national assembly over insecurity on Thursday.

The development comes one week after the house of representatives summoned the president following the worsening security situation.
