A 32-year-old woman identified as Tolulope Faleye, has been arraigned to the Magistrates’ Court sitting in Osogbo, for allegedly stealing a Toyota Corolla Verso car, valued N1,800,000 car.

Mr. Fagboyinbo Abiodun, the prosecutor, told the court that the accused person committed the purported crime on March 5, 2020 at No5B Ayilaka street, Dada Estate, Osogbo.

The car with chasis number JTDE228E003019475, according to the police, belonged to one Felicia Oyebamiji Akinola.

Prosecution called three witnesses and tendered six exhibits to prove the case against the accused.

But, Counsel to the accused person, Mrs. I. O. Olaniyi, submitted a case of no submission, maintaining that the case is a matrimonial matter and the court lack jurisdiction to entertain it.

However, the Magistrate, Mrs Adijat Oloyade, dismissed no case submission of the counsel and directed the accused to enter her defense.

The case was thereby adjourned to February 1, 2021 for the accused to open her defense.
