Tragedy as bandits kill two brothers in Kaduna

Bandits who attacked Gidan Maikudi hamlet, a herders’ settlement in Kerawa ward of Igabi local government area on Thursday, February 4 have reportedly killed two brothers.

This was stated by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.

The commissioner stated that the deceased brothers are identified as Maikudu Husaini who died on the spot during the attack, and Nafiu Husaini who died from gunshot wounds after he was rushed to the hospital.

The statement adds that local vigilantes in the community mobilized to repel the attack, and in the ensuing gunfight, beat back the bandits who withdrew with several casualties.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Kaduna State Government, on Saturday, confirmed that troops rescued two kidnapped women in Chikun local government area of the State.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the troops also captured three bandits

This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday morning by Mr. Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner For Internal Security and Home Affairs.
