- His brother said he did not suspect any foul play in his sudden disappearance
Anguish, pain and anxiety have since become the lot of the family of Osas Okharedia of Ujiogba, Esan West local government area of Edo state.
Since eight years now, they are yet to come to terms with the sudden disappearance of their son.
Stephen Okharedia was said to have got missing without any trace since his graduation since eight now.
Narrating the ugly incident to WITHIN NIGERIA in an exclusive chat, the victim’s younger brother, Okharedia Mathias Osas told our reporter that the family has been devastated by the incident.
Explaining further, he said “Okharedia Stephen is my immediate elder brother. He is a graduate of Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri where he studied studied Mechanical Engineering.”
Explaining, Mathias told our reporter that the ugly incident occurred when he went for final clearance at School for his National Youths Service Corps program in 2015.
“He was last seen at Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri, Imo state 8 years ago, when he went for his final clearance.”
Mathias further stressed that the missing brother is currently 35 years old.
Narrating the efforts the family has made to recover him, Mathias stated that few days after his disappearance, they reported the incident to the police.
According to him, the police promised to carry out investigation but up till this moment, his brother is yet to be seen.
“We have gone to places to look for him but to no avail.”
Asked if he suspected any foul play in his brother’s sudden disappearance, Mathias told WITHIN NIGERIA that he didn’t suspect anybody but prayed that his brother will be recovered after almost a decade so that the family will once again feel happy as before.
He further said that “although we were at Oba old airport road, Anambra state on Tuesday based on the information we got that some people said they saw him sometime ago.
“Almost every one at that area said they saw somebody that resembled his description.
Again the information reaching us now is like he stays at three three ( 33 )at Nnewi but we are yet to see him. His nickname is Bro as he is known to be an Engineer and iron bender.”
