It was indeed a bloody Monday in Nsukka town, Enugu state as a 51-year-old security officer allegedly murdered 19-year-old girl over infidelity.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the incident happened at one pharmacy shop at popular Total roundabout, Nsukka
Our source revealed that the victim, Uloma Nwangwu who hailed from Uda, Igbo-Eze North local government area “was a kid when she was brought from Enugu Ezike to live and be a house help to the mother of Mr Emma Nwangwu, the suspect.
“As at that time, Mr Emma Nwangwu was jostling from Cameroon to other African countries.
“The girl continued to live with his mother until her death, some months ago”.

Narrating further, our source explained that “after the death of Emma’s mum, he decided to live with Uloma since he has sent his wife packing but kept her daughter.
“Few months later, Emmanuel allegedly started molesting the little Uloma sexually from tender age till few days to her gruesome death.
“It was established that before the sad incident that led to her death, she has run out of the house severally until this last one before she summoned the courage to report Emmanuel to the police station due to the continued molestation.”
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered in a viral interview with Nsukka urban divisional headquarters, she has explained that Emmanuel has told her never to tell anybody about what happened between or else, he will kill the mother, herself and the brother.
It was based on this that the DPO, Nsukka urban had taken Uloma, to a pharmacy for treatment.
The DPO was outside inside the police Van waiting for her who was on drip before Emmanuel entered the pharmacy in anger, grabbed her and smashed her head violently against the wall, leading to her death.
Police confirm the incident, apprehend the suspect
The Enugu state police command has confirmed the incident and subsequently arrested the suspect.
In a press release on Tuesday, the Police Public Relations officer, PPRO of the command, Mr. Daniel Ndukwe, said the suspect has been arrested.
The release entitled “YULETIDE TRAGEDY: ENUGU POLICE ARREST 51-YEAR-OLD SECURITY MAN FOR GRUESOME MURDER OF HIS 19-YEAR-OLD COUSIN SISTER” reads thus; “The Enugu State Police Command, through operatives of the Nsukka Urban Division, with the support of Neighbourhood Watch Group, on 1st December 2025, arrested one Emeka Emmanuel Nwangwu (male, aged 51) for the gruesome murder of his maternal cousin sister, Loveth Uloma Nwangwu, aged 19.
“The suspect, a member of the Neighbourhood Security Watch Group, committed the crime at a pharmacy in Nsukka, where he was arrested.
“The deceased had earlier reported a case of defilement, sexual abuse, abduction, and threat to life against the suspect on 28th November 2025 to Umabor Division.
“She alleged that she had been living with the suspect since 2019, at age 13, after the death of his wife, and that he had restricted her communication with family and friends and subjected her to sexual abuse.
“After attempting to escape to her family home in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo-Eze North LGA, the suspect allegedly threatened her with a firearm, forcing her back to his residence in Ibeku-Opi, Nsukka LGA, where she was locked up in a room.
“She later escaped using a spare key and reported the incident to the police, who issued her a medical report form for examination. The suspect and family were invited to the station, where he confessed, sought forgiveness, and promised to return her property.

“The family, citing personal ties, initially chose not to prosecute the case but opted for spiritual cleansing due to the incestuous and abominable act against the victim.
“Tragically, while receiving treatment at a pharmacy in Nsukka, the suspect forced his way in, assaulted her, and struck her head repeatedly on the floor, causing fatal injuries. The victim was taken to the hospital, where her death was confirmed and her remains deposited in the mortuary for preservation and autopsy. The suspect was rearrested and is in police custody.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, psc, condemned the crime and the cruel manner in which it was committed, consoling the family and assuring the public that justice will be served.
“He has directed the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID) to investigate the case meticulously and ensure that it is charged to court within record time.”
In the meantime, the family of the deceased is yet to react to the murder of their daughter.
However, a close source to the family told WITHIN NIGERIA that they have planned to force the suspect to marry the dead body of the deceased in a full traditional marriage rite before any legal justice system will take its course.
