Gunmen have abducted the Pastor in Charge of Shiyona Baptist Church, Reverend Yohanna Gyang Bitrus in Ugwan Saye in Yakila community in Tegina, Rafi Local Government area of Niger State.
It was learnt that the incident occurred at about 2pm on Thursday.
According to The Nation, a source said the gunmen stormed the community and went directly to the Pastor’s house and took him away.
It was gathered that the gunmen did not enter any other house in the community although they were shooting sporadically to scare people away.
The gunmen contacted the Pastor‘s family few hours after he was abducted demanding for N60 million ransom for his release.
The family said they are perplexed as they do not know how to raise that amount of money to secure the release of the abducted Pastor.
