Abducted students, staff of FGC Birnin Yauri, Kebbi regain freedom after four months

The over 90 students and members of staff of Federal Government College (FGC), Birnin Yauri, in Kebbi State, who were kidnapped about four months ago have have been released.

The kidnapped victims regained freedom on Tuesday after spending 118 days in captivity.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalsl that on Thursday, June, 17, bandits numbering about 150 invaded the college and abducted over 90 students, comprising male and female, and three members of staff, among them a vice principal.

According to Daily Trust, father of one of the kidnapped students, confirmed that the students have been released.

He, however, did not disclose whether parents of the abducted students have reunited with them, Tribune reports

As of the time of this report, the Kebbi state government and the police are yet to issue any statement over the development.
