The Nigerian Correctional Service Armed squad prevented a security breach at the Lagos State High Court, Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS).

CSC. Oladokun, the Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Lagos State Command, confirmed the incident in a statement on Monday, November 1. He said armed NCS operatives foiled an attempt by some attackers to forcefully release an inmate on the court’s premises.

According to Oladokun, one of the attackers was shot while attempting to take an armed personnel’s firearm.

“Persons suspected of being companions of an inmate brought to the Lagos High Court for a hearing staged an attack on escort officials in an attempt to forcefully release the inmate while on the premises of the Court. However, the NCOS court escorts’ prompt response and vigilance prevented their plan “he explained.
