Hakeem Odumosu, the Lagos Commissioner of Police, has arrived at the site of a gas explosion on Ojekunle Street in the state’s Ladipo neighbourhood, following the explosion that rocked Tuesday morning.
WITHIN NIGERIA reports that at least five people were verified to have died as a result of the unfortunate incident that occurred on November 16, today.
At the moment, security operatives including policemen, soldiers, and emergency responders are currently at the scene.

Meanwhile, in a statement titled ‘LASEMA battles Ladipo Mushin Gas explosion,’ which was released by LASEMA on its official page on Facebook.
LASEMA said it has deployed its Response Team, Eagle Squad at Cappa to contain the situation.
The Agency also said the fire from the explosion has been put under control by the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and also the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps.
