Gunmen attack Lagos College of Education, kill student

Gunmen reportedly attacked Michael Otedola College of Primary Health Education, in the Epe area of Lagos State and shot a student, Razak Bakare, to death

The unfortunate incident which was said to have occurred on Wednesday, repeated itself on Friday when a teacher, Ahmed Saheed, lost his life when yet-to-be-identified armed men allegedly attacked him around Poka town in the same Epe Local Government Area.

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that Saheed, popularly called ‘World Morgan’, who was Biology teacher and Registrar at the Army Children Senior High School, Epe, was reportedly shot and stabbed to death at about 7.10pm, last Friday, in his shop in Poka, Epe area of Lagos.

It was gathered that the attacks which occurred within the space of 48 hours, created panic that affected academic activities on the campus.

According to PUNCH, a security guard in the institution, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said; “The student was killed on campus on Wednesday and the lecturer was shot dead on Friday. We have informed the police.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, has yet to respond to calls made to his mobile number as of the time this report was filed.
