An attack by terrorists on Wapa village in Kurfi LGA of Kastina state has been foiled, police in the state have said.
According to the Katsina State Police Command, many terrorists were killed in the botched attack while two kidnapped victims were rescued.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP Gambo Isah, disclosed this in a press statement issued on Friday morning.
According to the statement, the hoodlums, no fewer than 24, armed with AK-47 rifles attacked the community, shooting sporadically at about 1:00 am on Friday and abducted two persons in the process.
Gambo gave the identity of the two persons abducted as Alhaji Aminu Wapa and Wada Sale, both of Wapa village, Kurfi LGA of the state.
