It was another day of tragedy in Aba, Abia state as a young man has been electrocuted by high tension wire in the city.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that the man who was identified as Alison Obiajunwa was trying to connect and change transformer cable.

According to our source, the incident took place in Obingwa local government area of the state on Saturday evening and has left many residents in mourning mood.

Our source, equally explained that ” the worst of it all is that his dead wife is still in the mortuary, waiting to be buried in few days time. This is double tragedy for the family.”

Asked what caused the electrocution, our source also explained that “it was gathered that the late electrician didn’t wear safety kits when the tragic incident happened. I don’t know whether to blame the company or the dead man for this criminal negligence.”

However, all efforts by our reporter to get the reaction of Emeka Ezeh Public Relations Officer, Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC on the incident proved abortive as his phone was not going through.
