“I want to inform you that bandits attacked our town, Maru, around 2:00 a.m. last night. It was a tragic incident. My in-law, who is the Chief Imam of the Maru Central Mosque, Alhaji Salisu Suleman, was kidnapped along with his two wives and seven children,” he said.

According to him, during the raid, the terrorists went from house to house, looting valuables worth millions of naira and rustling livestock.

He called on the federal and Zamfara state governments to deploy adequate security personnel to protect residents from incessant attacks.
