The popular Nigerian comedian Olaniyi Afonja, who is famous among the comedy lovers under the name Sanyeri, is a happy man who has found the essential thing in life.

He has a wonderful wife who is surely the dream of every man. If you have always wanted to know more about the comedian Sanyeri wife, then you have come to the right place. We have all the information about her and their love story.

Do you enjoy beautiful and touching love stories which make you believe that true feelings exist regardless of money and fame? We believe the story of the comedian Sanyeri and his wife is exactly what you want, so read everything about their relationship, mutual trust, and understanding.

Sanyeri and his wife: the story of their relationship

When the young Olaniyi Afonja, who came from Oyo State and was the oldest child in the family, decided to start his acting career in 1992, he did not think that his life will change in just a short while. He moved to Lagos in 1996 and started acting in the Yoruba movies, but he did not think much yet about the personal aspect of his life. Finding someone extraordinary was a hard task.

Things had changed when he met a beautiful woman, whose name is Hawawu Omolara and who would later become Olaniyi Afonja wife. In one of the interviews, Legit.ng gathered that the famous comedian was reminiscing about how he first met the love of his life. This love story is quite exciting and unique and is closely connected to the issues of sticking with your spouse throughout thick and thin.

The wife of Sanyeri: how did he meet her?

According to Sanyeri, he first met his wife in 2004. He was attending the screening of his movie “Okan Emi”, which took place in Iganmu, Lagos, at the National Theatre. Omolara just came there with a friend, hoping to have a good time. Sanyeri noticed the beautiful lady and her friend from a far distance and came up to them. He instantly put his eye on Omolara, and he decided to ask her to tell her friend that he liked her. However, his future wife’s friend told him that it would be better if he was the one who told her about that.

At first, Omolara did not take Sanyeri very seriously, when he told her that he wanted to get to know her better. She thought that he only wanted to have her number because he believed that shooting a movie recently would automatically make him able to get any girl he likes. She walked away from him that day. However, the stars aligned for them to meet again. It was nearly a month later after their first meeting at the theater, and this time, Sanyeri did not waste any time. He finally persuaded Omolara to give him her number. Still, she was not a simple girl: it took a while before he finally convinced her to give him a chance and start dating him.

Since then, Sanyeri and wife have been through a lot of things together. Back when they first became a couple, the comedian was not a very rich man, and he remembered that at one point, he was almost broke. But his wife managed to stick by his side regardless of his wealth, and this is something that he always appreciated. When the press asked him what the most memorable thing about his wife was, he said that it was her staying with him without paying attention to his money status and belongings.

Sanyeri confessed that when he and his wife had their first child, he had only N3,500 in his pocket, and life was tough for them. He felt insecure because it seemed to him like he can not give anything to his wife and child. He confesses that as of the day of their marriage, the only property of his was the tribal mark. Therefore, the famous comedian gave a piece of advice to young couples, which was not viewing the person from the perspective of their wealth, but focusing on their potential and determination. He said that there are a lot of wealthy people who later became poor, and on the other hand, there are plenty of poor people who work hard and eventually become rich, and they are the ones who are worth all the risks. Sanyeri and his wife were unable to celebrate their wedding anniversary until it was six years since they got together, but the couple never left each other’s side. Now, they are financially stable, and their marriage is still going strong.

Nigeria’s beloved comic and his wife have two beautiful children, whose photos he often shares on social media. They are two boys, and their names are Olasunkanmi and Boluwatife Afonja. Sanyeri and his wife are incredibly grateful to have their little family, and he spends time with his children whenever he can.

As with almost every famous family, there were some problems in the marriage of Sanyeri and his wife, according to the media. Nobody knows for sure what happened, but there were cheating allegations about the comedian. However, the talented actor and his wife Omolara seem to have resolved whatever was wrong between them. Sanyeri even bought his second half a Honda car and took a photo of her driving it. In the picture, she looked really happy in her new vehicle. Apparently, after all the alleged problems, their bond has become even stronger.

The story of Sanyeri and his significant other, Omolara, is surely very romantic. She is his other half and the mother of his children, and we hope they will continue being relationship goals.
