He was born to Pa Simon and Madam Omotunde Sanwo-Olu on June 25, 1965 in Lagos.
Young Babajide briefly attended the Government Demonstration School, Gbaja Surulere area of the state before moving to Ijebu-Ife Gramma School, Ogun State to complete his secondary education.
From there, he was admitted to the University of Lagos where he studied Surveying and Geo-information. He also has a Masters Degree in Business administration from same institution.
Sanwo-Olu is happily married to Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, a medical doctor and they are blessed with lovely children.
