A Nigerian lady has called out American singer Beyonce on social media over her Lion King live-action The Gift album. The lady claimed that Beyonce only featured Yoruba artistes on the album.

The lady identified simply as @sugabelly, who expressed her opinion on Twitter, stated that Africans are shallow and ignorant to be excited about the album.

According to her, Beyonce should have included artistes from other tribes in Nigeria. She asked why the singer did not feature Igbo artistes like Phyno and Nneka.

All the hot takes about Africans and this Beyoncé album just shows how shallow and ignorant you people are.

The real problem nobody is talking about is why Beyoncé chose only Yoruba artists for her album and not a single Igbo artist was on that album.

Where were Phyno? Nneka?

Other Nigerians came to Beyonce defense and replied @sugabelly on Twitter. They stated that Tekno is Igbo and Yemi Alade is half Igbo.
