A lecturer of Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, Engr. Dr S.O Ohikhena has been murdered by unknown gunmen after kidnapping his brother.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the deceased was shot dead by the gunmen along Okene-Abuja road on Thursday, October 3. His brother identified as Austin was also abducted by unknown gunmen.
Meanwhile, a 53-year-old man, Muhammed Bolaji Abdulraheem has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly parading himself as a lawyer and obtaining money under false pretence.
The fake lawyer was arrested by officials of the anti-graft agency, Ilorin zone and was also accused of using a dubious means to defraud one Mallam Yusuf Bello of N300,000.
In a petition forwarded by Bello to the Counter Terrorism and General Investigations section of EFCC, he alleged that the suspect recieved the sum of N300,000 from his debtor and claimed that the money was in the custody of the EFCC.
