The Super Eagles dropped one place in the latest FIFA World Ranking released by the global football governing body on Thursday.

The three-time African champions were ranked 34th last month and have now dropped to 35th position in October.

Super eagles, however, maintained third position in Africa, behind the Teranga Lions of Senegal and Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.

Benin Republic and Lesotho, who are the Nigeria’s next two opponents in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers are ranked in 82nd and 138th positions respectively.

Nigeria will host Benin at home on November 14th and travel away to Maseru five days later for the game against Lesotho.

Belgium still lead the pack, while world champions France and Brazil maintained second and third positions respectively. England and Uruguay make up the top five teams in the world.
