Kogi State government is to sanction any commercial motor operator that violates sanitation law in the state.

This was made known on Tuesday during the flag off/launching of the 2020 Kogi State government approved motor wastebaskets/litter bags held at the Kogi State Sports Complex Lokoja

In his opening remark, the health consultant in charge of the Sales/Collection of Environmental Levy on Motor Waste Baskets/Litter Bags Data Tech Ltd, Mr Emeka Onwubiko emphasised on the importance of having an approved wastebasket/litter bag in vehicles.

According to him, failure to have an approved basket/litter bag in the categories of vehicle mentioned above is punishable as contained in the Kogi State Sanitation and Waste Management Establishment Law of April 6th, 2013 section 46 subsection XX11.
