IPOB members killed our operatives, DSS breaks silence on Enugu bloody clash

On Sunday 23rd August, members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) and security agents clashed at Emene area of Enugu state. The Department of State Services (DSS) has reacted to the tragic clash with the proscribed group that left many injured and killed, including DSS operatives.

Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunanya narrated the incident in a statement Sunday night, said the DSS lost two personnel as he condoled with their families and prayed for the repose of the departed souls.

“A patrol team was attacked in the Emene area by IPOB members,

Consequently, a full-scale investigation will be carried out with regard to the incident.”, He said .

The agency announced that all measures have been put in place to ensure that their killers and everyone involved in the act are apprehended and brought to justice.
