Residents left in shock as fire reportedly razed the male hostel of Micheal Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) on Wednesday, January 15.
Inside the 14-second video, some boys can be seen running helter skelter with buckets to quench the blazing fire while others can be seen lamenting.
According to eyewitnesses, there was no casualty recorded in the fire incident at the institution’s male hostel popularly known as Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB hostel).
It was also learnt that properties owned by some students were allegedly destroyed by the fire as a result of non-availability of sufficient water to arrest the fire situation.
