Dan Yomi a Nigerian gay man and a consultant based in London, who celebrated his third Valentine with his gay partner last week, took to social media to pen down a post on how difficult it was for them to come out as gay men.
The consultant said he decided to share his experience, with the hope that it will serve as an inspiration to some ‘queer kid’ who wants to ‘live free someday’.
Yomi revealed that he and his boyfriend almost gave in to societal pressure of marrying women even though they were based in a country where homosexuality was legalized. They also expressed happiness of being able to explore their love together.
