83-year-old succumb to COVID-19 in Lagos

Lagos records another death of 83-year-old COVID-19 patient

Lagos State has recorded another COVID-19 related death in the state bringing the number of death to 14 with 309 confirmed cases and 94 discharged.

The State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, disclosed this via his Twitter handle on Sunday.

According to him, the deceased, an 83-year-old woman had underlying health issues before contracting the virus.

He tweets, “23 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Lagos. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Lagos is now 309.

“4 COVID-19 patients were discharged as of 18th of April bringing the total discharged cases to 94.

“Lagos recorded 1 death, bringing the total number of COVID19 related deaths in Lagos to 14. The deceased is a female, aged 83 with underlying health issues, he said.
