The former chairperson of the caretaker committee of Nsukka Local Government Area in Enugu state, Hon. Chinwe Ugwu who distributed shovels, head pans and wheelbarrows as empowerment tools has reportedly lost her life.

WITHIN NIGERIA reported that a transition Chairman in Enugu State, Hon Chinwe Ugwu has been called out by a resident of the stare for allegedly giving out wheelbarrows on hire purchase.

The demise of the former chairperson, Chinwe was confirmed on social media by Hon Patrick Asadu, the House of Rep member representing Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency.

As at the time of filing this report, the cause of Chinwe’ death can not be ascertained but it was reported that she died after a brief illness.

Hon Patrick Asadu, the House of Rep member representing Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency wrote;

“I have just confirmed this devastating news of the untimely death of Hon Chinwe Ugwu, the immediate past caretaker Chairman of my own Nsukka LGA. What a bad news for an otherwise promising weekend. Sen. Fidelis Okoro, Rt Hon Patrick Omeje Jnr, Justice FIN Ngwu and now Hon Chinwe Ugwu all in the morgue!! And some others not mentioned here, in our selfsame LG.

Where have we gone wrong to deserve these litany of deaths! Why are we losing our people of all ages, status and creeds?

May God forgive all of us, return His face and save His people from these untimely deaths. Only God’s grace can see us through these perilous times. Let us all forget our individual pursuits for a while and seek God’s face more fervently now, through individual and corporate prayers. He will surely answer us in Jesus name… Amen.

For all the faithful departed, may there souls rest in peace… Amen.

Adieu, Ada di Ora nma, Chinwe Ugwu.
Rest in peace!

We shall meet again, on resurrection morning.
