Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei, the acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, has reportedly left the hospital.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that yesterday, July 20, Prof Pondei slumped while he was being grilled by the House of Representatives committee on NDDC over misappropriation of funds.

Pondei  is said to have left the hospital where he was taken, after he slumped.

Pondei caused a scene when he slowly slumped over his desk, appearing to have fainted while he was being grilled for over an hour

Several people present at the hearing rushed to his aid, propping him up and attempting to stabilize him, while the proceeding was halted.

Soon after, Pondei appeared to be in a seizure with a man holding open his mouth as others held him upright.

Afterward, he appeared to regain and lose composure intermittently and had to be moved out of the session.

In other news, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has disclosed that the Acting Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Kemebradikumo Pondei who slumped during the ongoing investigative hearing will not appear before the committee again.

The Speaker disclosed this at the resumption of the session following the adjournment due to collapse of Mr. Pondei. He noted that the committee will adopt the written response of the MD.
