Video of a Cameoonian Catholic Priest who slumped and died while preaching during the Sunday mass on August 30th, 2020 has surfaced online.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the shocking and tragic incident happened on the altar during a Sunday mass in Deido, Cameroon.
Reports revealed that the Spiritual Director of Catholic Men Association (CMA) in Deido, Rev. Fr. Jude was preaching the Homily while wearing a face mask before he paused for a moment and appeared to be struggling to breathe.
In the shocking video, the priest slumped on the altar with other priests seen rushing to his aid as he fell few seconds later while preaching.
Chidi Odinkalu, the former Chairman of National Human Rights Commission and legal practitioner shared the video on Twitter on Sunday, August 30.
Odinkalu wrote: Rev. Fr Jude., CMA, Spiritual Director of CMA Deido, in Cameroon’s commercial capital, Douala, was preaching the Homily at Mass earlier today when this happened #RIP.’
As at the time of filing this report, the video has been shared by many social medua users as they sympathized with the family of Rev. Fr. Jude.
