Senator’s daughter dies one year after his demise

Jasmine Chidimma Uwajumogu, the daughter of late Imo Senator, Benjamin Uwajumogu, has died.

Jasmine, 24, died on February 1, 2021 and was laid to rest on Friday, February 12 at Victoria Garden Cemetary, Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that Senator Uwajumogu, who represented Imo Senatorial District, slumped and died in his house while taking a bath on December 2019.

Recall that the deceased father, Benjamin Uwajumogu who was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress was initially treated in the United Arab Emirates for protracted illness.

Sadly, the deceased sister, Ugonna Victoria Uwajumogu, shared the photo, obituary of his daughter on Twitter after the funeral and wrote: “Baby girl, there are no words. Only tears and rage. I ‘ve laid you to rest now. I love you forever.”
