Oby Ezekwesili, former Minister of Education has stated that Nigerians are not yet ready for good governance.

This statement was contained in a tweet the former presidential candidate shared on her official Twitter account.

Ezekwesili said Nigerians absolutely enjoy and believe they deserve to be poorly governed, and politicians understand this.

Ezekwesili added that when citizens are ready, it will end.

She tweeted;

I will repeat it yet again. Citizens of Nigeria are not yet ready for Good Governance. They absolutely enjoy and believe they deserve to be poorly governed. The Politicians know this and dish Bad Governance in large doses to them. When citizens are ready, it will end.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Oby Ezekwesili has beckoned on Nigerians to rise up and demand immediate assessment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s physical and mental fitness for the highest office.

The former education minister said in a tweet Sunday night that Nigerians’ right to know the status of Mr. Buhari’s capacity trounced his rights to privacy.

“I think that at this stage and depth of fragility of the Nigeria-State, Privacy has to yield ground to our Right-to-know as citizens, the state of health of @MBuhari. We really must assess the physical or mental capability of @NGRPresident to carry on the duties of office,” Mrs. Ezekwesili said.
