When news broke that Nollywood actor Blossom Chukwujekwu and his wife, Pastor Ehinome Winifred Akhuemokhan, had welcomed their first child together, it was more than another celebrity baby announcement. It marked a joyful milestone in a love story that has quietly unfolded over the past four years.
The couple welcomed a baby girl, Angela-Ritsa Evanna Chukwujekwu, with family, friends, colleagues and fans joining in celebrating the newest addition to their home. For Blossom, whose personal life has seen both public highs and painful moments, fatherhood opens a fresh chapter built on love, faith and new beginnings.
From Benin City to Nollywood

Born on November 4, 1983, in Benin City, Edo State, Blossom Chukwujekwu grew up with roots in Otolo, Nnewi, Anambra State. He first studied Mass Communication at Enugu State University of Science and Technology before transferring to Benson Idahosa University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2008.
His acting journey began in 2009 when he landed a role in the soap opera Portrait of Passion. That same year, he made his feature film debut in Private Storm alongside Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Ramsey Nouah.
It did not take long for industry watchers to notice him. In 2013, Africa Magic’s Jara named him one of the actors to watch, while filmmaker Charles Novia listed him among Nigeria’s best actors.
His role as Tunde in Flower Girl introduced him to a wider audience, but it was his performance as Moses in Knocking on Heaven’s Door that earned him the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2015.
Over the years, Blossom has built an impressive film career with memorable performances in Falling, The Visit, Okafor’s Law, Òlòtūré, Who’s the Boss, The Trade, JAPA and several television productions, making him one of Nollywood’s respected leading men.
A Difficult Chapter And A Fresh Start
Away from the cameras, Blossom’s personal life also attracted public attention. He secretly married entrepreneur Maureen Esisi aka Red Vigour in December 2015, but the marriage ended in separation in 2019. The breakup became one of the industry’s most talked-about celebrity splits, with both parties eventually moving on with their lives.
In 2020, Maureen officially announced her separation and divorce, revealing that she was still confused about what led to the end of her marriage, as the reasons her former husband gave did not make sense to her. In all of this, the actor kept mum on the matter of his separation.
Rather than allowing the experience to define him, Blossom kept a relatively low profile, focusing on his career and personal growth while staying away from public exchanges.
Finding Love Again

Love found Blossom once more in Pastor Ehinome Winifred Akhuemokhan, a pastor at Christ Embassy and a niece of the church’s founder, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
Their traditional wedding took place on May 20, 2022, in Benin City, followed weeks later by a white wedding at Christ Embassy, also known as LoveWorld Incorporated.
Family members, friends and several Nollywood stars, including Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, Stan Nze and Wole Ojo, joined the couple as they exchanged vows.
Introducing his bride to the world, Blossom shared a photo of Ehinome on Instagram with a simple but heartfelt message:
“Behold God’s best for me.”
The post reflected the gratitude and hope with which he embraced this new phase of his life.
Four Years Of Building A Home

Unlike many celebrity couples, Blossom and Ehinome have largely kept their marriage away from the spotlight.
While they occasionally share moments with fans, they have chosen a quiet life centred on faith, family and supporting each other’s purpose.
On one of Blossom’s birthdays, Ehinome celebrated him with touching words, saying there is a story within him that “transcends human understanding” and describing his journey as “unhindered, unrestricted, and unshaken.”
Those words have become even more meaningful as the couple celebrate another major milestone together.
Their Biggest Blessing Yet

The joyful news was first shared by their church, which congratulated the couple with the message:
“Hearty congratulations on the birth of your baby girl
ANGELA – RITSA
EVANNA
CHUKWUJEKWU
We rejoice with you on this beautiful gift from the Lord, May your home be filled with divine love, joy and God’s grace as you raise your precious daughter in His light.
WELCOME, LITTLE PRINCESS!
BROTHER BLOSSOM & PASTOR EHINOME CHUKWUJEKWU.
WE LOVE AND CELEBRATE YOU!.”
The announcement quickly drew warm wishes from colleagues like Lala Akindoju, friends and fans who have followed Blossom’s journey over the years.
For the couple, the arrival of Angela-Ritsa is more than a happy occasion. It represents the beginning of a new season filled with fresh responsibilities, new memories and the joys of parenthood.
A Role That Matters Most
For more than a decade, Blossom Chukwujekwu has entertained audiences with memorable performances on screen, earning recognition as one of Nollywood’s dependable actors.
But beyond the awards, movie sets and red carpets, life has continued to shape him in unexpected ways. From career breakthroughs to personal challenges, and from finding love again to building a family with Ehinome, each chapter has prepared him for this moment.
Today, as he embraces fatherhood with the arrival of baby Angela-Ritsa Evanna, Blossom is stepping into what could be his most meaningful role yet—not as a character in front of the camera, but as a husband, a father and the head of a growing family.
